A quite Merry Christmas with George, Bette, Sorrel, and Cliff -- sending love long distance to Harriet and Megan -- on what back there would be the 33rd day of fall, high up 1 to 52 (.24 additional precip, for 9.6 since July 1) high locally 49...

an interval spent entirely / unusually, albeit quite pleasantly, exclusively indoors...

December 24 - All Rise Eve

Out for a by-now

mid-day meal, and

the day scoots along to a late-afternoon paper run,

then

beyond sunset to

Christmas

Eve

service

Late-night nostalgia, on what would be the 31st day of autumnal temps back home, high down 7 to 51 (tying with February 8 and December 18 as the fourth-coldest high temp of year) -- 53 locally...

December 23 - Spangly

Airport with Cliff -- great conversations until we give it up for a bit of rest,

before

taking off over the beautiful Mojave,

then magnificent snowbound

Rocky Mountains,

into the

Great Plains,

above

the

Mississippi,

Lakes

Michigan

and

Erie,

eventually

the

Appalachians to touch down in

Philadelphia --

picked up by Sorrel and Bette,

back to the residence where George awaits.
