There's a wonderful anecdote some years later
when Imogen herself was going to the Royal College of Music.
She told me that she vividly remembered her first day when she left home to travel to the college.
She walked down the garden path, and Holst stood in the doorway behind her.
When she got to the garden gate, he shouted out,
"Remember -- whatever you do, never open a textbook on harmony!"
