now (an asking price no doubt spectacularly more than in the expatriate Russian's time)...
This, his home from 1940-1969, before moving inexplicably to Essex House in New York (adjacent to Hampshire House to the left, southeast of the notorious Dakota), with its northerly views of Central Park -- somehow recalling living in Hallowell Hall as a sophomore at Swarthmore College: a beautiful view almost due north into Crum Woods, but hardly any direct sunshine...
